Alan Gerard Fletcher (27 September – 21 September ) was a Britishgraphic designer. In his obituary, he was described by The Daily Telegraph as “the most highly regarded graphic designer of his generation, and probably one of the most prolific”.
He was considered be one of most influential graphic designers when co-founded Fletcher/Forbes/Gill in the s and Pentagram in the s. Alan Fletcher passed away in September fighting with cancer, just before his death he made donations to his archive to the museum and was very much involved in the planning of this retrospective exhibition.
In the end, i think that Alan Fletchers work is very good and inspirational to me and im sure all graphic designers around the globe too.

Note: Born in Nairobi, Kenya to British parents, September 27, Fletcher moved to West London when 5 years old after his father's sudden death. He later studied at the Royal College of Art, London, then graduate design school at Yale University in the United States from , where he studied with Paul Rand, Herbert Matter, and Josef Albers. He worked with the motion picture title designer Saul Bass in Los Angeles before returning to London in In he formed the design firm Fletcher/Forbes/Gill, which became Pentagram in He authored several books on aspects of design, and was consultant art director for Phaidon's Art and Ideas series. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
