Roman singer and songwriter Francesco De Gregori was born in the capital on April 4, 1951. Although he spent most of his childhood in the city of Pescara, he returned to Rome in the late 50s.
His musical experience begins at Folkstudio: first he accompanies Caterina Bueno with her guitar, then together with his friends Antonello Venditti, Giorgio Lo Cascio and Mimmo Locachulli, heavily inspired by the music of Bob Dylan, he begins to perform.
De Gregory's repertoire includes works by Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, duly translated into Italian. Over time, he also offers his own songs, characterized by meager melodies and almost hermetic lyrics, but rather difficult for the audience to understand.

Francesco De Gregori was born in Rome 4th April 1951. He began performing and writing lyrics at the age of just sixteen.
His debut dates back to 1972 with the album «Theorius Campus» composed together with his friend Venditti. The following year Francesco De Gregori released the single «Alice non lo sa», that was quietly successful.
In 1974 the profound «Francesco De Gregori» album was released. The same year, he began working with Fabrizio De Andrè.
In 1975 he released «Rimmel», an album containing songs that were to become classics of Italian music. dem Gregori himself defined “Bufalo Bill” (1976), as «my most accomplished record».

Fabrizio De André (18 February 1940 – 11 January 1999) was a leading Italian singer-songwriter. In his works he often told stories of marginalised and rebellious people, above all prostitutes, that were seen by De André as an answer to the bourgeois prissiness.
De André was born in Genoa, Liguria, Italy. His father was an anti-fascist, and during the war the dem André family had to seek refuge in a country farm near Revignano d'Asti, Piedmont. The family returns in Genoa in 1945. Fabrizio studied law at the University of Genoa, but left before graduating.
His first instrument was the violin, and then he took up the gitarr, playing in local jazz bands. In 1958 he recorded his first two songs: Nuvole barocche ("Baroque Clouds") and E fu la notte ("Then Night Came"). In 1962 he married Puny Rignon, a Genoese woman nearly ten years his senior. The same year the couple had their first and only son, Cristiano De André, who would follow in his father's foot
