In this lesson, students will gain an understanding of the kinds of historical sources used in the study of history. They will develop an awareness of the technical terminology used in the subject and their application in assessment items, including the ability to identify primary and secondary sources to use in historical inquiry. Students will have the opportunity to achieve this through choosing their own method of learning, from reading, and watching options, as well as the chance to engage in extension activities. Primary and secondary sources allow students and historians to take a look into the past or explore how past historical events and figures have been perceived.
