Plasmon-enhanced light absorption below the bandgap of semiconducting SnS2 microcubes for highly efficient solar water evaporation. - In: Small, ISSN 1613-6829, Bd. 20 (2024), 45, 2400588, S. 1-9
Semiconducting materials show high potential for solar energy harvesting due to their suitable bandgaps, which allow the efficient utilization of light energy larger than their bandgaps. However, the photon energy smaller than their bandgap is almost unused, which significantly limits their efficient applications. Herein, plasmonic Pd/SnS2 microcubes with abundant Pd nanoparticles attached to the SnS2 nanosheets are fabricated by an in situ photoreduction method. The as-prepared Pd/SnS2 microcubes extend the light-harvesting ability of SnS2 beyond its cutoff wavelength, which is attributed to the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effect of the Pd nanoparticles and the 3D structu

Art exhibitions at Berlin galleries
BBA MPB Award – Perspectives in diversity | Group exhibition | BBA Gallery | 01.03.-06.04.2025
until 06.04. | #4602ARTatBerlin | BBA galleri shows from 01. March 2025 the group exhibition “BBA MPB Award – Perspectives in diversity”. Featured as part of the Monat der Fotografie-Off Berlin 2025 festival, the BBA MPB Award: Perspectives in Diversity exhibition celebrates artistic excellence through the lens of diversity, bringing together three distinct voices—Willi Dorner (Austria), Nora Obergeschwandner (Austria), and Norberto Pezzotta (Italy). Their works explore the intersections of identity, urban transformation, human intimacy, and evolving perceptions of beauty, offering a dynamic dialogue on contemporary society. Willi Dorner’s practice traverses the realms of performance and visual arts, engaging with urban landscapes to examine how architecture and identity intertwine. Nora Obergeschwandner’s photographic series In B
