Thomas William Hiddleston (born 9 February 1981)[1] is an English actor. He gained international fame portraying Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), beginning with Thor in 2011 and including the Disney+ series Loki (2021–2023).
Hiddleston started his film career with Joanna Hogg's films Unrelated (2007) and Archipelago (2010). In 2011, Hiddleston portrayed F. Scott Fitzgerald in Woody Allen's romantic comedy Midnight in Paris, and appeared in Steven Spielberg's War Horse. That year, he was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award. He continued working with auteurs in independent films, including Terence Davies' drama The Deep Blue Sea (2012), Jim Jarmusch's vampire film Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) and Guillermo sektion Toro's horror film Crimson Peak (2015). He also played the troubled country music singer Hank Williams in the biopic I Saw The Light (2015)

Loki Laufeyson,[1] also known by adoption as Loki Odinson and by his title as the God of Mischief,[2][3] is a character portrayed by Tom Hiddleston in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, in turn based on the Norse mythological deity of the same name, Loki was introduced in the film Thor (2011) and has since become a staple in the MCU. As of 2024[update], the character has appeared in seven films, the live-action series Loki (2021-2023), the animated series What If...? (2021-2024),[5] and the animated short film The Good, the Bart, and the Loki (2021).[6]
