Throughout my dissertation journey, I have been taught by God to persevere and never to give up. Accomplishing the task of writing a dissertation is a testimony in itself that nothing is impossible for those who believe in God. I want to thank God for molding me in humility as a family therapist to seek therapy for myself when I was depressed and uncertain about the role cancer wanted to play in my life. I have been blessed to have my son, David Emmanuel, who became the catalyst who sped the process for me to keep on moving forward to dance with cancer, hence to focus on living and to write dissertation.
